MAIR, ASHCROFT, BUTCHER, TENSCHERT AND PICOT LEADERS AFTER HEATS

Saturday after H Eats 1

33 heats decided the starting grids for the Final Phase at Wackersdorf, host of the opening round of the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy.

The leaders after the heats are: Alfie Mair (Mini MAX), Jacob Ashcroft (Junior MAX), Sean Butcher (Senior MAX), Manuel Tenschert (DD2), and Nicolas Picot (DD2 Masters).

Alfie Mair (SFR Motorsport) leads the standings at the end of the heats. The British driver edged out Oliver Spencer (KR Sport) and Max Jolly (Strawberry Racing), thanks to two wins and a second-place finish — the latter coming in a direct clash with Spencer. The fierce on-track battles also rewarded Marc Quessada (MKC Motorsport), who impressively climbed from 43rd all the way up to 6th place. A great comeback also for Andreas Papageorgiou (Dan Holland Racing), who moved up from 32nd to 8th.

Dan Holland Racing’s duo Jacob Ashcroft and Shun Sekiguchi, along with Boaz Maximov (Bouvin Power), maintained their qualifying top-three positions after the six heats held over the past two days. The tight competition among the trio sets the stage for an intense Sunday, likely filled with battles all the way to the final corner. British driver Cole Denholm also made significant gains, rising from 9th to 4th position.

Sean Butcher (KR Sport), Rotax MAX Challenge Winter Series Champion, returns to the forefront with a near-perfect set of heats, claiming victory in all five of his races. The British driver heads the pack ahead of compatriot Lewis Gilbert (Kraft Motorsport) and Yort van Wijk (Dan Holland Racing). A remarkable climb also for Cameron Nelson (Dan Holland Racing), who moved up from 21st to 4th place. It was a day of big comebacks, with Tino Sidler (Strawberry Racing) gaining no fewer than 30 positions compared to his qualifying result.

Close racing also defined the DD2 category, with Manuel Tenschert (Birel ART by KSB) narrowly prevailing over Jakub Bezel (Kraft Motorsport) and Tommie van der Struijs (Kraft Motorsport). In DD2 Masters, Nicolas Picot reclaimed the top spot, outperforming his two closest rivals Fabian Bock (Kraft Motorsport) and Xen de Ruwe (SSC).

On Sunday, April 27, the Pre-finals and Finals will be broadcasted live on TV through Live Streaming on Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy's Facebook page, RMCET website, Motorsport.com, and YouTube platforms:
